I've been researching hypertext and science fiction sites in connection with an online event I'm working on. I came across " N-SF " and thought you might be interested in this. Science fiction writer Alan Dean Foster is working with a company called MagicMaker <http://www.magicmaker.com> to create the first interactive real time adventure story over the Internet. Live actors and a live audience are going to be working with Foster to bring the story to life. Foster will be writing the story of "The Marexx" (tm) on the fly, while Internet users exchange ideas with him and influence the development of the plot.
The second occurrence of this event is scheduled for Monday, January 13th, beginning 7pm PST. Users who pre-register will be able to download images, drivers, and related files that will enable them to hear and see two of the five worlds of The Marexx, "meet" and ask questions about characters from the story, and chat with Foster.
