How do you measure wisdom? happiness? enlightenment?
Who has more Zen than you? What kind of nothing is bigger than zero?
In order to define the world according to Cartasian axes you first have to
pound a stake into the fabric of existence and call it "the origin".

Marshall McLuhan describes in detail the traumatic effects of supporting
such a false dichotomy in the electronic age. One of his famous quotes is:
"Media are the extensions of Man"
Use the broadest definition of media you can contemplate. McLuhan used
to say "Electric light is pure information." to describe what he meant by
"media". Dawkins approahes the same image in the concept of "The
Extended Phenotype".
