Well, I suppose part of my problem is that I think better in a
brainstorming-style environment. Not "ditto", and "yep", but "That sounds
interesting, but what if it were like this...", as opposed to "You ignorant
fool, I'm going to drown you in sophisticated, highly rhetorical ad hominem
attacks now."
I once got into an argument with a gentleman on a mailing list who said he
had deliberately tried to get me angry, because people think the best when
they're angry. This both confused and disturbed me, because I knew from
experience that I think better in a calm, polite encironment, where the
energy doesn't come from anger, but creativity and enthusiasm...
