HA, I love Buddhism, but it is itself an infectious killer virus. I must
admit though, if it came to Buddhism and most others, I would choose it.
The thing about Buddhism, is that it is like an acid wash of the mind,
figuring out how to get your neurochemical levels high enough to affect
your perceptions dramatically, while brain washing you at the same time
with what you have been telling youself. If done in a benevolent way, it
can be terrific, if done in a malevolent way, it can be dangerous.
Fortunately most people interested in Buddhism (from my experiences)
tend to be the more passive-explorer type.

I don't think David worships reason above all else. His experience, and
mine too, demonstrates that critical analysis more often brings accurate
results than anything else his experience has shown him. He has also
demonstrated that he is aware that "critical analysis" is a choice, and
as such, he tries to remain as objective as possible when using the
tool. It is NOT worship to use that which works all the time unless it
fails of it's own accord (not human error) and you continue to stay with
it. As soon as something comes along and is superior to "reason" then I
will switch to it, and I bet David would too.
