varified by the validity of the pattern(s) (that it is coherent about the
symbol), the replicability of the pattern(s) (as translated through the
symbol--since a symbol might interpret between two or more patterns),
and--finally--the varifiablility of the symbol (as that which might produces
two valid patterns independently replicated).
