And I contend you are the only one seemingly unable to relinquish it. Why
do you think I am unable to dismiss 'I'? I have already relinquished all
faith. And it was remarkably easy. You seem to be prone to proselytizing
prattle, IMHO. Your obsequious righteousness in the above, for instance,
is sheer back-against-the-wall bravado.

"Pray you, make my excuses to the moderately intelligent, for I know not
how to earn the grace and favor of the immoderately intelligent, though I
have often sought to do so with great pains. Henceforth I neither desire
nor regard their favor."
- Martin Luther

"I find every sect, as far as reason will help them, make use of it
gladly; and where it fails them, they cry out, 'It is a matter of faith,
and above reason.'"
- John Locke

"To surrender to ignorance and call it God has always been premature, and
it remains premature today."
- Isaac Asimov
