One of us is being really stupid here. I will admit my ignorance--I'm not
even sure which "law" it is that you are talking about. I'm guessing it is
entropy. What about infusion? When something becomes more dense outside a
membrane in regards to the inside (which is running down)...doesn't the
inside and outside balance through infusion. Science is not my god and the
second commandment of thermo-whatever doesn't fill me with awe at its
mention. I don't see anything which doesn't fall into the categories of
mass and/or energy. I'm really at a loss as to what you are saying here.
How could one form of information be translated into another *with* an
overall loss? Even given "friction" (an example which used to help me
understand entropy), "information" in the form of a car traveling forward is
translated into heat when the brakes are applied...where is this loss that
you are talking about? Are you saying that information doesn't change forms
that it simply *dissappears*?
I think YOU are the one that needs to provide an example of how information
dissappears.
